1. What makes the GlobalART USA egg donor program different from others?
No other program can match our lower costs, which are thousands of dollars less than domestic programs, without the patients and their doctors having to sacrifice quality. We also have a regular flow of donors and offer guarantees that are uncommon in the egg donor industry.
2. What is GlobalART USA's success rate?
The program has produced several dozen pregnancies since its inception in 2002. Over 70% of our patients have become pregnant — 81% of those pregnancies occurred from the first embryo transfer, and 19% were from subsequent transfers, as of the end of 2007.
3. How much does the program cost?
GlobalART offers the following two Pricing Programs:
Shared Cycle: Half of a donor's eggs in any one cycle for $8,400. The patient receives at least five embryos.
Unshared Cycle: The total number of eggs in one cycle, for $13,650. We guarantee that the patient receives at least 10 embryos.
Occasionally, a patient may receive many more, depending on the number of eggs retrieved. With an Unshared cycle, you could possibly have three or even four embryo transfers for your original cost.
NOTE: Your IVF physician will charge for thawing and culturing your embryos and the actual embryo transfer procedure itself. Shipping sperm to GlobalART and embryos back to your physician may incur other minimal costs.
4. How can I be sure I'm getting high-quality, well-screened donors?
All of our donors are young and healthy, and many have demonstrated fertility. Most are currently enrolled in or have finished higher education programs. They are screened for psychological fitness twice—at an initial interview and then by an outside specialist.
5. What do you mean by "guaranteed"?
When given good quality sperm, GlobalART guarantees the following: For a half cycle, you will receive at least five embryos, at least two of which will be of transferable quality as determined by your IVF Physician. For a full cycle you will receive at least 10 embryos, at least four of which will be of transferable quality as determined by your IVF Physician. This guarantee is unique to GlobalART.
6. What do you mean by "transferable quality"?
Embryos of transferable quality are embryos which have a reasonable probability of growth and implantation.
